Out of Melbourne

In November 2011 I had an accident. It was a silly mistake that nearly cost me my life. After 9 months in hospital followed by a lot of rehabilitation I have made a good recovery. I’m well enough to travel now, and I am setting off on an adventure.

In about 6 weeks I will see my sister in Abu Dhabi. I don’t know how I am getting there yet, but I intend to make the most of the next 6 weeks.

I’m traveling light. A back pack with some clothes, my passport, a camera and a diary… and when I return to Melbourne in a month or so… it will be a new start.

Hi Uncle Mark and Johan!!! woohoooo…SIngapore my old home! Gee I miss that place! So jealous you guys are going to Bali after this!! Please if you do visit Ubud, go check out Radiantly Alive yoga studio on Jalan Jembawan, opposite Bali Buddha…the school I went to for my yoga teacher training. I challenge the both of you to attend just one yoga class! And it has to be a Radiantly Alive vinyasa class!!! And then tell me all about it!! hahahaha

Bon voyage Jo Han and Mark. I am more than a little envious actually. Re mountains en route….you will be going close to Mt Bromo and Mt Semeru as you start travelling W through Java. Spectacular, active volcanoes and an easy starter. You can get a little mountain horse to do most of the work. (stay in the village the night before and get an early pre-sunrise start). In the meantime, please enjoy some Bali warmth and a tasty nasi campur. Best wishes Dave

What a life that I wish I can come along, well some one in this household has to guard the fort and look after our two king pins Tiger and Oscar. This adventure is a good testing ground for your ability to overcome obstacles, problem solving, planning and co-ordinating skill and on top of all this you get to see some places you haven’t seen.

Just think of us here in the cold while you boys are having fun.

Have a safe journey and look after Uncle Mark along the way. Stop him from buying smokes and more importantly stop him from smoking. Challenge him!!!!!
